#photoadayMay - Week 1

Ello ello,

I have been joining in with the Photo a Day challenge from the Fat Mum Slim Blog. I've been using Instagram to record my daily goings on and have been as honest with my pics and subjects and not contrived any photos (although the first is a bit!). It's been fun so far!

I'm a bit disapointed by the quality of the photos, but only because the iphone 4s' camera is AMAZING and my iphone being a 3 pales in comparison-  it's still pretty cool though!

Soggy Week!

I think we've all had a soggy week in the UK! I am in full support of the rain though, it's just what we need and will help all the growing that needs to occur for our hard working farmers to produce food. It will hopefully go some way to get us out of this drought too.....

Apart from getting soggy, we attended a wedding last weekend- it was fab and there was even some sunshine!! The newly weds are member of the Volkswagen owners club Goose and I belong to, called Dirty Buggers, so it was great to see the crew before festival season kicks off.

There were plenty of vintage volkswagens at the wedding, the gorgeous bride arrived in this beauty -

 We danced the night away and looked forward to the coming events of 2012. It was a great day!

This weekend they have all descended upon a very wet Santa Pod raceway for Big Bang festival. I had to stay at home and look after the pooch, which I'm actually glad of now since I have seen photos on facebook of how muddy and wet it is! So as weekend alone of chilling out for me. Think i'm going to watch some cheesy films and do some baking and maybe some internet shopping.....picked up this bargain on asos the other day- i'll have to wait til nextwinter to wear it, but I got it cheap!!

On a sepearte note, I can wholly recommend these

They are so good. Going to have to ration my intake though before I end up a bloater!

Last Few Days Blurrrr

Been a bit of a blur the last few days. I went on a mega hen party on Saturday night in Brighton. The maid of honour organiseda trip to a cabaret, my image of cabaret was slightly different to the reality of it- basically it was a sausage fest of a strip show!! It was sucha laugh and a LOT of fun, I even got pulled up on stage for a boogie! Needless to say, Sunday was spend in a little bit of a delicate state.

But i'm a lucky gal, my lovely boy Goose poached me an egg (my fave) and made me a kick ass breakfast!!

I spent the rest of the day mooching, walking the dog and rocking my polka dot tights. I found some fantastic cowboy boots recently made by a reputable company called Loblan. As lovely as they are, they're not really "me", so i'll be popping them in my etsy shop soon.

I had Monday off work so I visited my good friend Claire at Winchelsea Beach and we went shopping in Lovely Rye. There's a great new shop there called the Lion Street Store, founf, funnily enough, on Lion Street. It's crammed full of funky, colourful and handmade wares. I totally recommend! Although I went in for a certain present for Goose, which they had temporarily sold out of, I couldn't go away empty handed and left with a fab tea towel and an Otter card, which will look darling on my wall!

Nearly the weekend! We have a wedding to go to this weekend, two of the gorgeous members of the Volkswagen club we belong to!

Today is my little brother's birthday, it is also his girlfriend Michelle's! They've been on a pub hike today to celebrate.

Yorkshire Times

We just got back from a week in North Yorkshire at my Dads. Hectic isn't the word- there were 10 of us, including my nephew Harry, and 4 dogs all in one house. But, it was a lot of fun!

We went for some jolly walks

and saw a load of these guys (so cute!)

We visited the Forbidden Corner. I don't really know how to explain what is was, kind of a garden full of strange staues, tunnels, towers, mazes........ it was bizarre and fun! My brothers certainly had a good time!

We visted Whitby for the first time. It conincided with a huge scooter rally, so the town was absolutely buzzing with Vespas and Lambrettas. It made queueing for fish and chips hard work, but we managed in the end!
